Everything you need to know before your visit to Queensboro Oral Surgery

Your First Visit

We want your experience at Queensboro Oral Surgery to be as smooth and comfortable as possible. During your first visit, you will meet your surgeon, discuss your concerns, and review any imaging needed to evaluate your condition. Your surgeon explains your diagnosis, answers your questions, and outlines your treatment options.

What to Bring to Your Appointment

  • A valid photo ID
  • Your dental insurance card (if applicable)
  • A list of current medications and dosages
  • Any referral documents or imaging from your dentist
  • A list of questions or concerns you would like to discuss

Arriving a few minutes early allows time to complete any paperwork and helps ensure your appointment starts on schedule.

Insurance and Payment

Our office works with many dental and medical insurance plans. We are happy to verify your benefits and explain your coverage before treatment begins. For procedures not fully covered by insurance, we offer flexible financing options so that cost does not prevent you from receiving the care you need.

If you have questions about your insurance coverage or payment options, call our office at 718-263-7400 and our team will be happy to assist you.

Pre-Operative Instructions

Depending on your procedure and the type of anesthesia planned, you may receive specific pre-operative instructions. These may include guidelines for eating and drinking, medication adjustments, and arranging for transportation. Following these instructions helps ensure your safety and comfort during and after the procedure.

If your procedure involves IV sedation or general anesthesia, you will need a responsible adult to drive you home and stay with you for several hours after your appointment.

Post-Operative Care

After your procedure, you receive detailed written instructions specific to your treatment. These cover topics such as diet restrictions, medication management, activity guidelines, and signs that require attention. Following post-operative instructions carefully supports a smooth recovery.

If you have any concerns after your procedure, do not hesitate to contact our office. We are available to answer your questions and address any issues that arise during your recovery.
